Hello, my name is Bernie Newton, welcome to the Mates Creek Association website. I consider my faith to be an Old Hardshell Primitive Baptist. I just love the Primitive Baptist people and all of God's children in other denominations as well. I enjoy working on this website to help bring a blessing to those who don't understand the faith of the Primitive Baptists or who are interested in our old paths that we uphold to be the Truth of the Word of God. We the Old School Primitive Baptists have been given the examples of worship set forth by Jesus Christ, the Son of God and who is the chief cornerstone and the author of His church.

My beliefs and my faith may differ from some, but I recognize that the Lord chose an election of sinners to be saved and reconciled them back to Him into an inheritance of Grace. These elect are secured and sealed by the Holy Spirit and NOTHING can separate them from the LOVE of God.. If a brethren in Mates Creek Association sees something that needs corrected, please feel free to contact me and I will correct it.
